Preserving our Past
Building Our Future
A new restroom and lobby addition was built under Phase II of a renovation and expansion project at Davis Temple Headquarters COGIC that was announced in March of 2018 by Jurisdictional Prelate, Bishop Daniel Titus Littleton. The addition was being constructed next to the sanctuary and dedicated on November 7, 2020. It includes multiple stalls in both the men’s and women’s restrooms along with a lounge area. It also features an 800 square foot drive through drop-off just outside the entrance.

The renovation and expansion project represents the first major upgrades to Davis Temple since it was built more than 45 years ago under the leadership of Bishop Theo Davis. Phase I of the work was completed in March of 2019 and included much needed sanctuary renovations such as wall-to-wall carpeting, top and bottom cushions to the existing oak pews, as well as new light fixtures, pulpit and choir furniture, audio system and drop-down projector screens.

The renovation and expansion project was made possible, in part, by the generosity of members of the Mississippi Southern First Jurisdiction who pledged financial support. Under Phase III, a new parking lot will soon be paved. To join us in this great work, please consider making a financial contribution or a pledge today.
